Additions That Don't Look Like Additions

The hardest part of an addition isn't the building โ€” it's tying it into the existing home so seamlessly that nobody can tell what's old and what's new. Matching siding, rooflines, foundation heights, and interior finishes takes experience.

We've been adding on to West Tennessee homes for over 20 years. We know how to match a 1970s brick ranch, a turn-of-the-century farmhouse, or a 2010 build โ€” and how to make the inside flow naturally between old and new.

Scope of Work

Types of Additions We Build

Master Suite Additions

Bedroom, walk-in closet, and en-suite bath โ€” typically 400-800 sq ft of new space.

Sunrooms & Four-Season Rooms

Insulated, climate-controlled rooms with big windows for year-round use.

Bonus Rooms & Bump-Outs

Small kitchen extensions, dining bump-outs, and bonus rooms over garages.

Second-Story Additions

Adding a full upper level โ€” complex but transformative when the lot is tight.

Garage Additions

Attached or detached garages with optional bonus rooms or shops above.

In-Law Suites

Self-contained additions with a private entrance, bath, and kitchenette.

Our Process

How We Add On

Feasibility Visit

We walk your lot, check setbacks, and tell you what's possible before you spend money on plans.

Design & Permits

We help with plans, engineering if needed, and pull all required permits.

Foundation & Tie-In

New foundation poured, then we open the existing wall and structurally tie the addition in.

Match the Outside

Siding, roofing, trim, and windows matched to the existing home so it reads as one structure.

Finish the Inside

Flooring, paint, and trim flow continuously between old and new. Walk-through and warranty.

Why G&G

Why G&G for Additions

โœ“

We Match What's There

Old brick, hard-to-find siding profiles, oddball trim โ€” we track it down and make it match.

โœ“

Live-In-It Approach

Most clients live in the home throughout. We seal off the work area and protect your day-to-day.

โœ“

Honest About Limits

We'll tell you when an addition isn't the right answer โ€” sometimes a remodel makes more sense.

โœ“

Structurally Sound Tie-Ins

Proper headers, footings, and load paths. Your addition is as solid as the original house.
